QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"The Streets of New York," a new Arrow release, opened yesterday.at thu Queen's Theatre. Burton King, the director, has done wonders with this great melodrama, which was—and is—one of the most sensational of stage successes. The cast is uniformly excellent. Edward Earle, as Paul Fairweather, does splendid work, while Barbara Castletou is appealingly beautiful. Kate Blancluin the role of the mother paints a vivid and compelling portrait. Anders Randolf> contributes another of his dependable characterisations, and Leslie Kin;; wins new honours by his playing of "Badger." " The settings clearly indicate the outlay of considerable money. The supporting films include part nine of the great ten-part chapter play, "The Social Buccaneer," starring Jack Mu)--hal l; a very humorous Century comedy, "Buddy at the Bat," starring Buddy Messenger, and the latest Gazettes. Tim Queen's Grand Orchestra renders a specially _ selected programme of incidental music in keeping with the picture. Th« box plan is at The Bristol.
