CRICKET CLUB CONCERT.
A concert m aid of the Midland Cricket Club funds was held in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on Wednesday evening, when there was a very fair attendance. Vocal items were given by > Misses. E. Flaws, E. Rees, and G Esau. The "Welsh Tots," Misses C and E. Rees, delighted the audience with their items, as also did the Melody Quartette, consisting of Misses E. and G. Rees and Messrs. Davies and BockMiss Snell's "Telephone Conversation' 1 was very acceptable, and Messrs. T. Ward and B. Mayall were recalled for their musical molody. Another muchappreciated, item was provided by Leo Shaddick, whistler and dancer; and Mr. H. Liardet was very entertaining with magic illusions. Messrs. Howard and Chalk performed to advantage in a very clever comedy entitled "Selling a Motorcar." A particularly high-class turn was given by Alex. Blight and Blight, who manipulated swords, clubs, axes, etc., with dexterity. A finale by the company concluded a most enjoyable evening's entertainment.
Yesterday's sessions at The Ambassador were well attended, and included several large parties. To-night's Gala Session should attract numbers of merrymakers, and reserves may bo secured ncr telephone.
