PORT NICHOLSON SILVER BAND
A specially-prepared programme will be giyea at.the Botanical Gardene at 3 o clock to-morrow afternoon, and will include two grand selections, Swift's famous arrangement of "William Tell " and the well-known overture, "Mornina, Noon, and Night." A feature of the overturo will bo the introduction for the first time at an open-air concert of xylophone effects. Other supporting items will include the marches "North w a.?£ "Kavcnswood," the concert »# j ,? a?, hani>le," the intermezzo Cinderella, and a trombone novelty ' Slipperyitis." Provided the weather is favourable, the grounds with their pleasant surroundings should be the scene of a large gathering.
