"THE CAT AND THE CANARY."
The J. C. Williamson Dramatic Company staged "If Winter Comes" at the Grand Opera House for the last time last evening, there being again a largo and appreciative audience. To-night. the company will stage the much-talked-of comedy-drama, "The Cat and the Canary." This play has the reputation of being tfie most successful drama staged in Australasia for many years. It unfolds an intensely interesting plot, with a pretty love romance, and, in addition, abounds with very humorous situations which cannot fail to amuse its audience. Garry Marsh, wTio achieved such a success in "If Winter Comes," will be B een in a part for which h« wa» specially engaged in London, and Miss Jane Savile and Miss Ailsa Graham were ako specially engaged for their respectivo parts. Miss Isobel Wilford will take the role of , Annabella West, which, it is said, might haxe been written for -this dainty New Zealand actress, buch well-known artists as Sidney Stirl•ngw wr? e ißlunt' Arthur Vorm\\, Reginald Wykeham, and Miss Georgia Harvey are also in the cast.
