TRIBUTES FROM ALL

MR, LLOYD GEORGE'S SOEROW.

(Received 31st October, 11 a.m.)

PHILADELPHIA, 30th October

Mr. Lloyd George, referring to the death of Mr. Bonar Law, said: "I heard the sad news with deep regret, tiiged with relief that his long and severe suffering had at last come to a peaceful end. I saw him shortly before I left for this country, and the news was certainly not unexpected by me." Continuing, Mr. Lloyd George said that the two of them had worked in closer co-opera-tion and partnership than probably any two Ministers of the Crown had ever worked before. No man could wish for a more loyal, sagacioiis, and helpful partner in times of emergency. "Although we had serious political differences that severed our co-opera-tion during the past year," said Mr. Lloyd George: "Our friendship never broke, and we met just a few days before I left for these shores. It fills me with sadness lo think I shall never meet him again."
