■ . _.—-»■ • , NEW LODGE'FORMED AT EAST- ' BOURNE. For some time preparation has been going on in regard to th e formation of an Oddfellows' Lodge: at Eastbourne. The efforts of those interested have now reached a satisfactory conclusion, and the new Muritai Lodge will be consecrated by the Provincial Grand Master o{ the Order (Mr. Lee) this evening at Wright and Kinvig's Hall^ . The ceremony will include the consecration of the lodjOj-the initiation of new members, and the installing of officers, which will be,carried out by Grand Lodge officers, who are going to Eastbourne from Wellington by bus for that purpose. The new lodge is starting with a membership of about forty. Arrangements have been made to receive a large number ofvisiting Oddfellows. Those desirous of taking part are invited to be present a boat leaving the city at 6.15 p.m., and returning from Eastbourne at 10.30.
