Palmerston. North is growing aa evidenced by the several new business premises thaj; have come into being within the past few months, and the.writer has very much pleasure in according some notice to the above new firm of hardware merchants. Mr. Watchorn is a Palmerstonian of great personal popularity, and is perhaps as well-known in the district as the old town clock. Mr. M'Naught has also resided in Palmerston North for some time, where he has also been associated with the hardware and ironmongery trade. This new firm have acquired a prominent double plateglass window shop in the very heart of the Square, near the Bank of New 'Zealand and are now opened up with a splendid and well-selected stock of general hardware and ironmongery; the display has been greatly enhanced by the commendable tasite with which' it has been ar ranged. The firm's efforts to exemplify the best phases of the trade represented are demonstrated by their careful selection of such articles, only as are cal culated to give the utmost satisfaction to the purchaser.
