PROVINCIAL LADDERS* - : -For the Wellington provihciaf^lawn tennis ladder, by which the. official ranking of players is arrived at,\the applications have not been as numerous as expected. The idea is one that should appeal to players, as-its purpose is to foster tennis. The committee set ' up,; to arrange the.players in order of merit has been compelled to hold over a number of places to be filled when other applications are received. .
