HICKSON'S MISSION
INTENSE INTEREST AT NAPIER,
(BT TKLIGRAFH PRKSS A8ROCIAIION.)
NAPIER, 29th October. The Hickson mission in Napier was opened this evening by a public service in St. John's Cathedral, which was filled _in every part, there being no standing space vacant, fy\d outside were hundreds who were unable to gain admission. So large was the crowd that the assistance of the police was necessary to regulate traffic, which, however, did not get out of hand. The gathering at the Cathedral to-night indicated the intense interest taken in the mission, during which some 1100 persons will be presented for the laying on of hands.
To-night's service was public, but on succeeding days admission will be byticket in order that patients may receive attention. The first healing service will be held to-morrow morning. Mr. Hickson delivered an address tonight similar to thaw in other centres.
