1 LONDON, 28th October. ' The "Daily Mail" says the Government is disappointed with the French insistence that.the conference shall consist of a committee of experts under the Reparations Commission, and with the refusal to consider a reduction of the reparations, debt below the £6,600,000,000 fixed in 1921, which is now regarded as beyond Germany's capacity. . The work of the proposed conferen6e, under this restriction, will consist of idvising when the payments shall begin and the amount of the annual instalments. It is expected that the Government will endeavour to secure the co-operation of France on broader lines. :
