♦v al khe,moD tidy committee meeting ol the St. John Ambulance Association it was announced that as the City Council did not intend to proceed with the widening of Vivian street, the architects tor the association s headquarter* at the corner of Viriari and Tory streets had now been definitely instructed to .go on with the preparation of the necessary plans *nd specifications. In the Home vw^i' 01*38 h'ld recently at the Y.W.C.A. all the students passed with high marks, as was the case in the firstaid class at Napier. A very successful class was recently conducted at the Wellington Technical College for junior first-aid certificates. Of the 17 students who presented themselvei for examination, 16 paii»d, with high marks, four having secured full marks in practical or oral tests. A junior course for home nursing is proceeding at the same institution. Arrangements are being made for a junior finst-aid claw to be held for Boy Scouts at the Lower Hutt.
