SELF-DENIAL
SALVATION ARMY APPEAL.
The annual self-denial appeal of the' Salvation Army resulted in the collection of £46,414 5s lOd throughout the Dominion. This represents an incroa.se of £1848 on the contributions received last year. The Auckland division (Brigadier Gunn) returned a total of £10,932, as against £11,113 last year; Wellington . (Major Burton), £6192, as against £5744 last year; Chriatchurch (Lieutenant-Colonel Carmichael), £7751, as against £7559; and Dunedin (Major Haines), £8200, as against £3400. Details of the Wellington division are as follow, the totals for 1922 being also shown :—
