CHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. In the Magistrate's Court, Joseph NichoHs was fined £5, in default a month's imprisonment, for stating he was a detective. Accused said he did it for a joke, ■ but the Magistrate said that a man with such a list of previous convictions must have some ulterior motive.
