DROWNING CASES

MELBOURNE, This Day. John Scurrah, aged 17, who lived at Balaclava, was drowned through a canoe which he was paddling on the Yarra capsizing. Annie May Cook, of North Melbourne, was drowned in the Moonee Ponds Creek.

Sunday being fine and sunny, bouses organised round trips of the unique spectacle presented by the inundated suburbs, and " made hay " at 4s a trip.
