Five naval divers again fruitlessly attempted to penetrate the Redding workings, and were brought up exhausted after narrow escapes from falling debris. Subsequently five 6ther divers spent several hours below, but encounterod insuperable obstructions. The efforts will henceforth be limited to the pumping out of the water.
