A deputation fro mthe Sydney Chamber of Commerce askod the PostmasterGeneral to secure a reduction in. oversea cable rates. Mr. Gibson replied that he was looking into the matter. He promised to mako investigations regarding the request that cable messages from New Zealand should be received and delivered by the cable companies concerned, instead of through the Post Office as at present.
