DAIRY CONTROL

FARMERS FOR AND AGAINST.

<BI TKISORAPH MtESS ASSOCIATION.)

TE AWAMUTU, This Day. «di inbJect of dairy control, Mr. <j. Parker, Dominion , president of the Dairy Farmers' Union, urges voters to record their votes before the poll closes, and appeals to them not to. allow the opportunity for control to pass. Parliament gave the dairy farmers a final say in a question vitally affecting the industry, therefore it was incumbent on all to exercise the privilege.- For many years the industry had been regulated by other than the producers, who were now given the opportunity to control their own affairs. The arduous work of production had been mado to carry the agents, whose services were inconsiderable in comparison^, and whose remuneration comparatively great. The producers' best interests would be g-ained by supporting the principles of the Control Bill, and it behoved every dairy farmer to see the voting privilege was not neglected before the votes were returnable on the 17th.

DARGAVILLE, This Day. A largely-attended meeting held at Ruawai last evening was addressed by Messrs. E. Maxwell and F. H. Leonard on the Dairy Produce Control Bill. The speakers dwelt very fully -with the subject, and at the conclusion of the addresses, the following resolution was carried unanimously: "That this meeting; of suppliers is entirely opposed to the coming into operation of the Dairy Produce Control Bill."
