CABINET DISSENSION

STRESEMANN AS STRONG MAN

SOCIALISTS TOO TIMID,

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)

(AUSTRALIAN-NBW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.)

(Received 3rd October, noon.)

LONDON, 2nd October.

The correspondent of the "Daily News" at Berlin says : "Germany's troubles have been increased by serious dis-sensions-in the Central Cabinet.

The Chancellor, Dr. Stresemann, considers that he is handicapped by the timidity of the Socialists in' connection with the Government's economic policy, the chief points of which are increased production and the abrogation of the regulation compelling employers to employ a percentage of ex-Service disabled men. Dr. Stresemann, who is essaying the role of a strong man on Germany, threatens to jettison the Socialists and invite the less reactionary wing of the extreme Right to join the Cabinet and save the country. The Monarchists are everywhere growing more restive.
