SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Mrs.- Dempster was the hostess on Tuesday at the Sailors' Friend Society, when she provided a most enjoyable programme .for her guests, who applauded liborally. Hospitality was extended to the seamen present. The .performer* were Mesdamel Dempster, Misses Grey, Gwen Esau, Boden, /Donnelly, Woolf, and Messrs. Dempster and Michael.- Mrs. Dempster was s at the : . piano. "Mistake* swept away" was the title taken by Mr. Moore fox the Temperance talk,. pledges following. The competition.prizes came from Mrs. W. Flannagan and the hostess, and went to the Stratfillan,. Marama. and men in\port. '
