A WONDERFUL VOICE.
His Excellency the Governor-General has graciously accorded his patrongage ta.. the concert to be -given* by Miss Ethel Osborn, in the Town Hall on Thursday* 11th October. After a most, successful tour of the northern part of the island, Miss Osborn will be heard in a magnificent'programme of .songs, new and old, and able assistance, will, be given by Mr. and Madame de':Mauny and Signor Truda. A writer says: "Miss Osborn's singing is remarkable for its extreme purity of tone, brilliancy of- execution, and the perfect control which she has over every gradation of tone down to fthe*' extreme pianissimo, which carries* perfectly through the hall." Among thefavourite numbers will be found 'the mad scene from "Lucia," "Lo, Here the Gentle Lark," and Patti's lovely song, ."The Herdsman's Song," Miss Osborn was a fellow student of Miss Essie Ackland, the beautiful contralto of the Jean Gerardy Co. The box plan opens tomorrow at The Bristol, and students' concessions are announced.
