three sections were dealt'with at the Wellington Competitions this morn--ing. In the piano solo section for the society s scholarship, the recalls will'be announced to-morrow morning. The first section on set pieces was heard this morning.
Recalls in the girls' song (under 12) were as follow:—Miss K. Reed (Christchurch), Miss E. Evans (Christchurch), and Miss K. Chappie (Christchurch). Highly commended :■■ Miss R. Swanson (Lower Hutt), Miss M. Carter (Christcharchj, Miss H. M'Lellan (Wellington), Miss I. Greenfield (Napier), Miss' MKershaw (Christchurch), Miss P. Wood (Johnsonville). ■■In the action song (boy or girl, 12 to 16), the.recalls were:—Miss M. Douglas (Christchurch), Master R. Foster (Christchurch), Miss H. Cowlan (Wellington) Miss P. Martin (Wellington). Highly commended: Master R. Campbell (Christchurch). ,
