KING FBISUL'S SUCCESS.

LONDON, 2nd September. ; Sir Percy Cox, British High Commissioner, reviewing the condition of Irak during the eighteen months to March, 1922, says the period opened with strife and uncertainty and a partial breakdown of the administration instituted during the military occupation, and closes with a Nationaf Government under Arab constitutional, and a king chosen by a referendum of the people. King Feisul has steadily consolidated his position in the people's confidence. , Sir Percy Cox points out that Irak offers immense, possibilities for the cultivation of cotton, but progress will be slow. Flax-growing is increasingly attracting the attention of cultivators.
