INTERESTING EVENTS.

GENEVA, 2nd September. Lord Robert Cecil • has convened a meeting of the Empire delegation for tonight. Expectation runs high ac to the League's action on the Greek appoal, while the proposed admission of Germany causes speculation, though it is thought unlikely that she will make the application. The city is crowded for the meeting of the Assembly. The Council of the League of Nations nas decided to refer the Irish and Abyssian applications for membership to a committee. ;
