•: The famous pianist, Beriho TMoiseiwitsch, willgive four concerts in Wellington, commencing on Thursday,•'■•■'6th. September, in the Grand Opera House. The tour, which i^s under the J. and N. Tait'management, has in " Australia proved a real series of triumphs. The Pres3 unanimously acclaim Moiseiwitsch as the greatest pianist heard in Australia for many years. The: "Herald"'said': 'He appeals to"'all- by. the numbers from both old and new masters. He is-the poet of the piano:" Moiseiwitsch' has become the-;-favdurite pianist of thY 9ay inEnglahd, 'America; and France." He'is coming to the Dominion with a great repertoire; including much new Russian music, but he will give some of his favourites from the "works''of -that great quartette—Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann. His .playing of Beethoven in Australia • aroused a storm of enthusiasm. Moiseiwitsch travels two grand pianos with him, one for recitals and one "for practice.
