LONDON, 22nd August. The "Daily Chronicle" states that the Government is ordering the construction of three types of giant all-metal passenger aeroplanes as standard craft for the Empire air routes. One type has a single engine for use on trans-European airways. The other types are to be equipped with thveo engines each, and are intended for the Middle East airways. The Government's intention was to link up all parts of the Empire with a network of airways. The carrying capacity of the machines is indefinite. Their cruising range is 2000 miles and their speed 100 miles an hour.
