The "Temps" says Herr Cuno's speech ■was not intended to discourage Lord Curzon, but on the contrary to stimulate Britain to do more than she has hitherto done on behalf of Germany. If England yields to Germany, France will always be there to defend the dearlybought _ fruits of victory and safeguard the Allies' patrimony.
