POOR FOOD AT SEA
"GO SLOW" ON AUSTRALIAN
CRUISER
STATEMENT BY WARSHIP'S MEN,
(Received 6th August, 1 p.m.)
BRISBANE, This Day. On the arrival of the Australian cruiser Adelaide, members of* the crew stated that on account of the poor quality of food on the recent northern cruise, the men called a meeting of the lower deck, and decided to go slow at their work wherever the vessel coaled. Some cut the falls attached to several boats, to attract the attention of the officers.
Captain J. B. Stevenson, when interviewed, declined .to comment on the men's statements.
