MOTIONS FOB NEW TRIAL
DISMISSED.
The motions of Edythe Denton and Herbert Montague Rosenberg for a newtrial in the case in which John Ernest Dention was granted a divorce from his wife on the. ground of adultery were dismissed in a judgment delivered by Mr. Justice Hosking at the Supreme Court to-day; In both cases the motions were based on the submission that the jucy s verdict was against the weWifc of the evidence. His Honour reviewed the evidence at; length, and held that the jury s verdict was a reasonable one Rosenberg was ordered to pay the petitioner s costs, amounting to £12 12s At the hearing, Mr. H. F. O'Leary appeared for Mrs. Denton, Mr W Perry for Rosenberg, and Mr. 6. c' Mazengarb for the petitioner.
