(ONITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIOHT.)

(Received 6th August, 9 a.m.) PARIS, 4th August. A distinguished astronomer and meteorologist declares that the world, two hundred years hence, will be caught fast in the frozen grip of another ice age, caused by th 6 earth not .producing enough carbonic acid gas. Giant glaciers will form at the Poles and spread towards the" Equator^ and in their inevitable progression will turn the earth into an ice-capped waste. The professor believes that there have already been two glacial periods, between which was a period with a temperature such as is now enjoyed.
