UNKNOWN MAN DROWNED

AUCKLAND, sth August, A 'man, whose identity is at present uncertain, was drowned off the Queen's Wharf last evening. A Harbour Board official heard the splash and threw a lifebuoy, but the man sank after swimmine a, few stroke 6 towards it.
