WELLINGTON v. CANTERBURY.
Wellington' are to meet Canterbury at Athletic Park next Saturday. Since the war Wellington have been successful in the six matches which have been played between the two provinces, and over the whole period of inter-provincial games Wellington have had 23 wins against Canterbury's 11. Thirty-five matches have been played between the two provinces, one has been drawn. Two years ago, when Canterbury last visited Wellington, the Wellington team, which won by 27 points to 11 was as follows :—Siddells; D. Algar, F. "C: Hutchison, A. Jackson; P. Markham, E. Ryan (captain); j. Tunnington; E King; Arthur Parker S. Staiiden, W; Duncan. J. A. Bruce, T. Price, Hansen, J. Shearer. Jackson scored three tries and Ryan and Hutchison one each. King scored two tries and converted three. Last year at Christehurch Wellington won by the same margin of points, the score beinir 25-9. The Wellington team was as follows :—E.
