OISBORNE, 2nd August ■ The Poverty Bay amateur boxing championship tournament was held tonight, with the following results :—Bantam, F. Turbitt; feather, A. E. Robertson; light, W. J. Rickard; heavy G. ■ Nelson.
Ir. a professional contest between J ; om Hesney and Jim Flett (Sydney), vletts seconds, threw in the towel "in the ninth round, after i.heir n-an had been down three times. Flett was hopelessly outclassed from start to finish
