It is reported from Amoy (China) that the Amoy (China), British, and Japanese Consuls have requested Hong Kong to send gunboats to protect their nationals, owing to the appearance in Amoy Harbour of Pekin Government gunboats, which opened fire. Shots from the ships struck-residential sections of the city; and three Americans were fired at while attempting to land.
