EMPIRE'S SHOP WINDOW
PURPOSE OF THE EXHIBITION.

LONDON, -Ist August. The Board of the Empire Exhibition gave a luncheon to a party of overseas Parliamentarians. The visitors inspected the progress made at the various courts. Mr. MacMahon, who presided, emphasised the fact, that tho exhibition was meant to be the Empire's shop window. He said he hoped it would help toward the ideal of making the various parts of the Empire naturally interdepedent, and independent of the rest of the world.
