DAIRY CONGRESS
INSTRUCTION AND PLEASURE.
Those who attend the great Dairy Congress to be held at Washington, D.C., in October next will be kept on the move. A'series of excursions has been arranged, all designed to present the mos^ modem developments in cattle breeding, milk producing, milk handling, dairy products manufacturing, and dairy machinery, as well as to show many places of historic and scenic interest. Every effort has been-made to keep the cost of the/excursions as low as consistent with comfort and the proper' observation of important places. Influential leaders of many sections of America have extended' through the World's Dairy Congress Association personal invitations to delegates to visit their respective States.. Excursions to be held prior to the congress "are intended for delegates with from two to three weeks' time for sight-seeing, and .for inspecting places of daily interest before 2nd October. ' Excursions to be held after the congress will show delegates many of the features of the American development of dairying and supplement the short, trips planned as part of the congress-programme.. Visits will include Madison, Wisconsin, the great cheese centre of the United States, and take in New York, Minneapolis, Portland (Oregon), San Francisco,. Los Angeles, Salt Lake City. This and other trips will take in dairy farms, dairy colleges, famous stud farms, cattle shows, city milk supply services,, and condensed and dried milk enterprises. The visitors to- this conngress in Washington itself will be feted and conducted to places ofhistoric interest in one of the most beautifully laid out cities in the world. They will also be entertained at Philadelphia and Syracuse. . '
