NEW YORK, 16th July. ■ Britain's immigration quota for July, 15,463, is nearly exhausted, and over a thousand British newcomers already hero or due in the next ten days at various American ports will 7 be detained and probably deported unless provision can bo made to hold them over until August. Immigration officials declare that efforts Will be made to admit as many British arrivals as possible under the tourist arrangement.
