It was stated at the Dairy Factories' Conference that owing to the adverse season, the butter production of New South Wales for the season ending 30th June next was 68,000,0001b, compared with 95,000,0001b for the previous seacon. A note of warning was sounded regarding Argentine competition, it being stated that within the next few years Australia would have a most strenuous time in holding overseas markets. Only by increased production and improved quality could Australia maintain her present position.
