THE DEADLY CROSSING.
Level crossings formed the subject of a question abked without notice by the Leader of ihe Opposition (Mr. '£. M. Wilford) in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr. Wilford requested that the question be treated as urgent by the Minister of Hailways (the Hon .]' G. Coates). Mr. Wilfc'rd asked if' the Minister would take immediate steps to provide safety devices for level crossings so as to reduce iho toll that was beiii" taken of human life in this country. "The qufcsUuii wiil have my "cry early and careful consideration."'implied the Minister, "combined with the opinion of my colleagues, llic members of the Caoniet."
