LODGE MEETINGS

Tie Good Templar jubilee celebrations ■were concluded last evening, when the juvenile branch of the Order, assisted I>y friends, held a concert in Wesley Hall. A large number of excellent items was given, those taking part being":—Edith Tippett and Christina Conlon (pianforte solo), Haz&l Jacobsen (recitation), Phyllis Shuker (dance), Irene and Phyllis Gray (duet), Eulla Goodwin (recitation), Phyllis MMillan (Highland dancing), Furnees Sisters (duet), Jack Harris (solo and dancing), Raven Sisters (Dutch dances), Myrtle M'Guire (solo), Peggy Baker and Rita Clark (gavotte), Recce Sisters (duet), Grace Frandi (recitation), Kathleen Fitzgerald (dance), David Bett (solo), Peggy Baker (dance), Edith Tippett and. Mac M'Lean ■ (rendezvous). Three of Miss Maris's pupils, Peggy Baker, Rita Clark, and ' Kathleen Fitzgerald, contributed Irish dancing. Brother Trevethick, G.S.J.W. thanked those who had given their services in help to make the evening a success. A feature of the entertainment was a display by some of the members of the Rising Star Temple, showing the advance of the Order m various countries. Sis. Asquith represented England ; Sis. I. Gray, Scotland; Sis. Mann, Ireland; Sis. Gidly, America; Bro. L. Bennett, France; Sis. L. Roberts, India; Sis. Jacobsen, Norway; Bro. Mellard, Holland; Bros. Alan Olson. Pakeha; and Sis. P. Gray, Maori.

After completing essential business, including nomination of one candidate, the loded entertained members of the Order and, friends. There was a very large attendance, the capacity of the lodgeroom (Waldie's Hall) being fully taxed. Opportunty was taken by the lodge to pisBent Bro. H. H. P. Wataon, Immediate P.G., with a framed Post Grand's diploma, in recognition of services in the chairs, the presentation being made by the District Deputy Grand Master (Bro H. N. Lee, P.G.). Zeakndia Lodge; No. 48, 1.0.0. F., held its fortnightly meeting at St. Thomas' Schoolroom on Thursday evening, Bro. A. Donkins, N.G.. presiding, lnere was a very laree attendance. Theie was a large attendance of iuvenile and adu t members. One lad was elected to_ membership and initiated. 4. surprise visit was made to the lodee by sisters of Victoria Eebekah Lo<W No *. bearing books contributed to tha juvenile members' library.
