STEAMER DELAYED

FROM NEWCASTLE TO ADELAIDE,

A message received by the Wellington radio station last night stated that the steamer Springburn, which left Newcastle on the 14th May for Adelaide, was overdue. Adelaide wireless station was in touch with her on the 22nd May, but since then nothing had been heard of the vessel.

Reassuring advice was received by the Wellington station this morning, however, to the effect that Melbourne wireless station had spoken to the Springburn last night, and that presumably the steamer was all right.
