Dr. Robertson, Director of the Division of Industrial Hygiene in the Commonwealth Department of Health, who has just completed a four months' tour of investigation of the United States under the Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, will leave shortly for Europe, where he will continue his inquiries and studies. Dr. Robertson, who investigated the social service undertakinga of the United States Steel Corporation, large rubber manufacturers, and other companies having great numbers of employees, declares that his findings are extremely interesting in their bearing on Australian industry. •He also discussed' industrial hygiene with Government executives and Labour unions, and says he was very much impressed by the work the Federal Government is doing for the rehabilitation of those crippled by industry and the vocational training of children incapacitated by such diseases as infantile paralysis. Many labour unions in New York are conducting clinics for their members for the purpose of eradicating industrial diseases.
