SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

The ladies of the Hataitai branch of the W.N.R. arranged an evening for the seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening. The performers were:— Mesdames Fortune, Tolon, O'Sullivan, Binnie, J. Paterson, and Messrs. O'Sullivan, M'Donald, H. Day, Lee, Breen. Miss Giovesi was at the piano. Hospitality was dispensed by the branch to the guests. The competitions' prizes came from the members of the W.N.R., and went to the Manuka.
