While working on the wharf this morning a man named W. Gemp was struck by a sling of timber. He received injuries to the head, though not of a serious nature, and was conveyed to the Hospital for attention. To-morrow evening the Dixie Jazz Boys are holding a jazz dance in St. Peter's Hall, Ghuznee street. Patrons are assured of a good floor, tasty supper, and special music by the Dixie Boys' 'Orchestra. Messrs. Williams and Co., Ltd., will sell pianos and household furniture at the Auction Arcade, Courtenay place, fcoi Saorrow, at 2 p.m. _.. „
