MAIN HIGHWAYS
BOARD NOT YET APPOINTED.
The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. J. G. Coates, stated to a representative of "The Post" to-day that the nucleus of the Main Highways Board had been decided upon, and that the necessary Order-in-Council making the appointments would be prepared, soon. When it was prepared he would be in a position to make an announcement as. to the personnel of the board. In the meantime much preliminary work was being done, and the Department was gathering such information as it was thought the board would require. This would enable the board to get to work quickly.
