At the Addington market to-day (contrary to expectations on account of the floods dislocating railway services) there were large yardings of" fat stook, districts not affected by the floods sending forward all the stock available in anticipation of a scarcity. The result was a lowering in prices. Store sheep: Very few came forward, and previous values were maintained. Fat Is.mbs: A small yarding of 1000 head and no change in values. Prime lambs made 9d to 9£d per lb. Extra prime lambs realised 33s lid; prime, 27s 9d to 30s 6d; medium, 24s 6d to 27s 6d; light and unfinished, 20s to 245. Values were down on account of the excess entry by 2s 6d per 1001b.' Primeet beef made to 29s 6d per 1001b; good, 25s to 2ps 6d; medium, 21s to 245. Cow beef was down tp 12s 6d. Extra prime steers realised £14 to £16 12s 6d ; prime, £9 10s to £12 15s; medium, £7 to £9 ss; light, £4 4s to £6 10s. Prime heifers, £5 15s to £8 10a; ordinary, £3 5s to £5 ss; extra prime cows, £8 12s 6d; prime, £5 to £7 ss. Vealers.: Anything good sold at a silght advance on late rates. Good runners, £5 2s 6d; ordinary heavy vealers, £3 5s to £4j medium, £1 2s 6S to £2 10s; small calves, 3s to 183. Store cattle: A small entry, and competition was dull. The only quotable line sold was of 13 three and four-year steers, which made £5 I.os. Dairy cattle: Competition was dull, and sales were difficult to make. Good second, third, and fourth ealvers realised £6 to £11 10s;.extra good, £14; | good springing heifers, £5 to £10 10s. Fat pigs: There was a keen demand at the outset, but values eased towards the close. Choppers made £2 10s to £4 10s; light porkers, 40s to 47s 6d ; heavy, 60s to 60s (average price per lb, 61d to 7gd); light baconers, £3 to £3 ss; heavy, £3 10b to £3 15s; extra heavy, £4 6s (average price per lb, s£d to 6|d). Store pigs: Medium and large stores were hard to sell. The prices of weaners and small stores were not high. ' Weaners made 6s to lls; small stores, 13s to 17s; medium, 28s to 325; large, 395.
