Lancashire (239 and 163) beat Oxford University (226 and 119); Hall, the South African Test bowler, who is playing for Lancashire under the birth qualification, took six wickets for 23 runs. Nottinghamshire (320 for nine wickets, declared, and 51 for none) .beat Leicester (187 and 183). Surrey (91 and 216 for five wickets, declared) beat Somerset (140 and 157).
