PEKIN, 7th May. The 'British victim who was killed was Mr. Joseph Rothman. The kidnapped include Mr. W. E. Scripps, pro* pnetor of the " United Press."
The brigands are part of a force of over four thousand, whose stronghold is in the neighbouring mountains.
