LONDON WOOL SALES
CROSSBRED PRICES HARDENING.
The High. Commissioner, cabling London, sth May, advises as follows: — "Wool: Sales continue with brisk demand and good clearance. Prices for all descriptions maintained. Lower classes of crossbred showing hardening tendency." Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., are to-day in receipt of a cable from their London agents, dated 7th May, reading as follows:—"Merino and fine crossbred, market shows a hardening tendency ; medium greasy crossbred, market irregular." A cable message has been received by the Bank of New South Wales from its London office dated sth May, as follows^ —"Wool, medium crossbreds rather easier; all other sorts in sellers' favour. "- Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under data of 3rd May :—"Wool Sales.—Sales closed active and competition brisk. Greasy crossbred wools fine quality, greasy crossbred wools coarse, slipe wools fine crossbred, upward tendency 46, 48 lower, practically unchanged as compared with last sale's closing rates."
