MARAROA DELAYED
CHRISTCHURCH, 6th May. Heavy rain from the south fell throughout last night, and continued to-day. A heavy south-east sea is running on the coast.
Tho ferry steamer Mararoa felt the full effects of the gale, and did not arrive at Lyttelton till 5.30 p.m.—about eight hours over her usual time.
