HARDING AND'WORLD COURT
BUT ISOLATION IS OUT OF DATE.
(ONITEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COMRIBHT.)
(AUSTRALIAN . NE^ ZEALAND, CABLE ASSOCIATION.)
WASHINGTON, 4th May. White House has issued a statement to the effect that President Harding will not make, the World Court a personal issue with the' Senate. He does not desire that the United' States should remain aloof from the rest of the world, and' does not believe that any President should retire from office clinging to the notion that America, must continue in her isolation.'. Nevertheless, it is pointed out that this should not be taken as. a Presidential" endorsement of the League of Nations; it is merely a recognition of the 1 out-of-dateness . of the isolation theory, which the successful trans-conti-nental flight further proves untenable^
